BUT vs YEAH, BUT

When you say something and it’s followed by a BUT, it’s cancelling everything you just said…

Just think about it:
‘I don’t mean to be rude, but…’ (and you are most likely to say something that you know exactly that the other person will think is rude.)

‘Please, don’t get offended, but…’ (and you know exactly that are so going to offend that person.)

‘I love you, but… (come on, it’s just comfortable.)

‘I’m not saying you are fat, but…’ (don’t even dare to finish that… JUST DON’T.)

A small 3 letter word can actually cancel everything good you just said…
BUT…….

What if we turn it into something good? What if we use it when we need to cancel all the bad things that happen to us? When we need to cancel the shitty thoughts we have in our head on a ‘not-so-confident’ day?

Let’s try something I have learned from @kristinakuzmic

When you have those negative thoughts, remember and say: YEAH, BUT… and complete the sentence with something positive.

‘I don’t feel ready to start my business.’ — YEAH, BUT I HAVE COME SO FAR, I’M NOT GONNA STOP NOW.

‘I’m afraid that I’m gonna fail.’ — YEAH, BUT IF I DON’T TRY, I WILL NEVER KNOW IF I WON’T FAIL.

‘I don’t have enough knowledge for that…’ — YEAH, BUT I CAN ALWAYS LEARN MORE AND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHOM I CAN ALREADY HELP.

It’s a great trick and it helps you to see your situation from a different perspective.
Yes, life isn’t always easy BUT we can make it easier for ourselves.
